Mr. John Kungu
HOD Computing and Informatics
The Department of Computing and Informatics at Kinango Technical and Vocational College focuses on providing trainees with practical, hands-on training in computing, information technology, and related disciplines. Our goal is to equip students with the technical skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the rapidly evolving tech industry.
We offer programs at various levels, including ICT Technician Level 6, ICT Technician Level 5, and ICT Assistant Level 4, each designed to develop core competencies in computing and informatics. These programs emphasize practical, job-ready skills in areas such as Software Development, Network Administration, Database Management, Computer Repair and Maintenance, and System Support.
Our approach centers on lab-based, project-oriented learning, giving trainees real-world experience through coding projects, hardware setup, network troubleshooting, and the use of industry-standard tools and software. This hands-on experience is supported by our highly trained and skilled trainers who deliver day-to-day training, ensuring that students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise.
